Lola used to sell apartments in Alicante. She was a superb saleswoman. She could talk you buying a cottage in Northern France while she would talk you purchasing one of her homes on the Costa Blanca. She would argue that Mediterranean people had more zest life than any other Europeans. She would warn you the uncertain climate of France and Germany. However, she was unwilling say anything bad about Spain. Northern Europeans were victims avalanches and continuous rain, but you could really trust the climate of the Costa Blanca to deliver many hours of sunshine.

Lola took after her father Pablo. Her mother, Betty, was originally from Britain. Pablo had the gift of the gab. He talked anything and everything. He had persuaded Betty to come and live in Spain. She trusted his greater experience and left England with few regrets. The truth Betty was that she was never very happy in Brixton, South London, and thanked her husband taking her to the popular seaside resort of Alicante. The problems of life in Brixton were unknown Lola who had never been to England in her life. Her family were united their love of all things Iberian.

Lola certainly did not intend to find anything wrong Alicante since it was her job to sell parts of it to English people who wished to live out their retirement in a warmer part of Europe. Advertisements were placed in newspapers and magazines and these were used persuade Lola's clients to seek accommodation on the Mediterranean coast. Lola would advise them on details such as taxes property ownership or anything else they were worried . Her clients would usually thank her explaining everything so clearly. She had spent three years studying English and Law in Sydney, Australia, before returning to her beloved Spain, the country that she would never get tired . The truth Lola was that she loved the sun, was happy in her work and would never think leaving Alicante again.
